Zohreh Parirokh

Zohreh Parirokh, writer and scholar, was born in Mashad in September 1959. She completed her studies in management and got a job at the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (Kanoon).

During her career in the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (Kanoon), she was the editor-in-chief of specialized magazines for children under five and older children and also in charge of Morghak Project (books for children under five). She has also worked as an illustrator.

Parirokh works specifically on the literature aimed at children under five. She tries to introduce a new atmosphere and outlook into the literature of this age group and at the same time maintain the readers’ bond with the colloquial language and literature of Iran.

Some of her works have been translated to other languages.
